25 Things About Me

1. I found out I was adopted when I was 7 years old. I also saw my mommy for the first time and did not know how to react.

2. My father (guardian) and I talk about almost everything and anything about life, people I meet, what happened at work, at school, just about everything.. He keeps telling me how proud he is for being his "daughter" and that I'm smart and going to have a bright future ever since I was young. He said he was so sure I will meet a decent guy because I went to a decent school.

3. I walked from gate 1 to gate 62 in Hogkong International Airport for my connecting flight going home to the Philippines, in heels!

4. I have been friends with Lirio for 14 years now, we are complete opposites, I'm surprised she likes me so much. (She said so in the b-day card she sent me)

5. My husband and I got into a car accident on St. Patrick's Day. I had a little burn on my right arm as a reminder.

6. I have a phobia in riding cabs, I got mugged on my way to work (11:45 pm) when I was 22 years old and almost got raped. I survived unscathed. Well scratch that because I have bruise all over my tummy and my cheeks. I could not sleep for a few weeks and was very paranoid when someone was close to me. I prayed so hard to God to let me forget the feeling, and I'm over it now. Before I would suddenly cry when I remember but now it's like it never happened. I thank God.

7. My cousin and I spent a few days in Hongkong, we had peking duck on our first night. The next morning the tour guide told us to not eat chickens or peking ducks because of reported SARS incident.. Well, too late now. Peking duck was very tasty though = )

8. When my husband and I went to Vegas, we only spent $ 20.00 gambling everything else were spent on food, shows like Cirque du soleil, Blue Man group and others..

9. I like putting tuna on my noodles.

10. When I applied for a segment producer in a TV station, I gave a lot tips to the person next to me. he ended up getting the job. I even saw him at the mall and wished him good luck, then he told he got the job.

11. My husband never proposed to me, he called from the States and told me he wanted to go home to marry me. Thinking he was just telling me that to make feel better because we were far from each other, I said" ok". He went home the following month and married me.

12. I don't have a photo of me having fair skin when I was young, my relatives and I were always at the beach during holy week until I was 16 years old. I like going to the beach but I don't want to have dark skin. So now I bring a bunch of sunblock lotion.

13.The first time I used my credit card was to book a hotel in Lafayette Park for me and my husband.

14. My friends/classmates walked 6 kilometers from my school to my house when we were in first grade.

15.I can eat twenty pesos worth of fish balls/kikiam/squid balls.maybe even more

16. I always had taho and soy milk for breakfast when I was in elementary and high school.

17. When nanay cholet left us (I was in third grade), I learned how to iron my uniform.

18. I had dreamed of having a honda civic red car when I was in college. when I bought my first car it was red made by honda.

19. I tried to fake a sneeze when I was going out with Jeff. I accidentally sneezed (for real) on him and my mucus was all over his cheeks. I thought he was going to break up with me,

20.Jeff and I have been together for 9 years and have known each other for 14 years now. He was my first and last serious relationship. I never looked at anyone else.

21. I played volleyball when I was in elementary and high school. I became the captain ball when we were in 3rd year and won bronze medal. I was also included in the mythical 6 and took home a gold medal.

22. I was 98 lbs when I got here in 2005. After a week my weight was 108. Then after 2 months steady at 105. when I was pregnant I was 146 lbs, went down to 140, 135, 126. I am now at 120, and hoping to go back to 105.

23. I became a Team Manager when I worked at a call center, I loved my team and miss them so much. I miss Johnny Keefe and Jeff Blake who were my mentors. I always compare them and myself to the managers I have now. I am sorry to say that I am a bit sad, I guess when you have people to compare them with you get disappointed.

24. I don't know anything about babies until I got pregnant and gave birth. I thought I will not be able to take care one. I am just so proud that my baby has never been sick ever since she was born. I pray to God it stays that way.

25. people don't know that my husband treats me like a princess. when he was courting me he promised to treat me like one. he does everything for me, he prepares my breakfast, lunch to work, laundry, just about everything. I don't take advantage of him, but he said he wants to to do it for me.
