No greater love than...
Parental love
Every Valentine's day, I compose a meaningful, beautiful, love-filled message to my husband to reaffirm my love and devotion for him. Today, it's love for our child. I realized being a mother is a gift. A lot of women have asked, longed to be one, but were not granted. Don't lose hope, God has given children to dreadful people. He gave them a chance to be a better version of themselves by caring for innocents. Your time will come.
My heart leaps every time I hear an " I love you mom", "can you please help me, mom?", "are you happy mom?", " I'm your baby, mom", "I want my mommy!"..
It's fun and enjoyable being a mom, the other night Yohan requested to be told a story, since the lights were out and I wanted to sleep too. I made one up. . Being a mom changes you. I was able to create a story incorporating how eating carrots, rice and apples are really beneficial for you.. You just want your little one to grow up healthy and smart.
Unconditional love. The pleasure of being a mom has taught me being selfless, a lot more giving, without expecting anything in return. Well, a hug or a kiss perhaps? Which are not so bad a request when you're a parent.
To you my child, Yohan, I will never get tired of hearing your 'I love you's', "I want a hug", I wish you never tire of saying and letting me experience it. How I feel about you is indescribable, an emotion you will only conceive when you yourself become a mother.
I love you...
------------
You have my heart.
Your mommy, mom, mama
