What I think of books that gave me an ending I didn't anticipate. See photo. I just think of Game of Thrones sometimes. You know that feeling when you start to like a character like Ned Stark and then suddenly puff, gone? It must be hard writing a book, so I don't diss right away. But I told my friends if it happens for the second time from the same author and didn't give me a happy ending, I'm really going for that one star. I can only give one chance.. I read to escape reality, so I want hearts and flowers, but I do appreciate different emotions aside from the giggles and smiles that the author evoked. And I do like the journey and reality check from time to time, it makes me appreciate how I can be open minded as reader.
