Library Book

This morning I heard my husband and daughter arguing about bringing a certain book to school.
Husband: (irritated) she wants to bring her book in school

Me: please let her, it's from the library.

It's very thick and worth 4 AR points.
The first time I volunteered in school, that was when she was in first grade I'd never thought she'd be in to reading this much. She was too shy to even approach the computer to test about what they've read. Teachers test their comprehension. These days, we can't stop her to read. I know it's not a good habit to let your children read at the dining table when it's supper. But I let it slip sometimes. I see passion in her eyes. She reads before going to bed and I find it endearing to see. It gives me this sense of pride. I didn't have to force her unlike when she was in first grade. Reading to her is fun these days.
