I've taken a break on my personal Facebook and IG a week ago. I must say, I've accomplished a lot. I had more time with my child, homework, reading together, doing chores. The reading part was one of the best ones of my week. We were side by side , not talking but just purely focused on our books, we were under one blanket in our sitting room, legs tangled under the sheet warming each other and enjoying reading. She would occasionally laugh and tell me what's funny, would also ask me for meaning of the words she just read. I've started reading the abridged version of A Tale of Two Cities, until I was distracted by a 77,000 word Larry fic. Hey! It's still a book! I've helped my child memorize a fable by Aesop, "The Boy Who Cried Wolf". Although, hats off to her, she already knew the first few paragraphs even before I read her the verse.
I've brushed up on my typing skills. Yes, I've used a personal computer. Actual, keyboard and not touch screen ones on iPad or iPhone.
I've prepared my husband's baon (lunch for work) in the morning. Washed the dishes, made both beds, Yohan's and ours. Did laundry on time, even folded them on the same day! That rarely happens. My kitchen sink is almost spotless the whole glorious week. We also did Facetime with my in-laws.
Jeff and I spent time together watching Ocean's Eleven to Thirteen over the weekend. I've slept wonderfully the whole week and I still even had time to read my fics. Jeff treated me to a second hand bookstore. Yohan and I were in heaven. It's just so delightful!
Ow! This may sound absurd but it's almost Spring time and I asked my husband to take a different route going home just to look at Jacaranda trees in our neighborhood. They're marvelous! So there! Looking forward to another spectacular week!
