Protein Diet

My diet consists of mostly protein to keep my blood sugar level. Breakfast, lunch dinner and sometimes even nighttime snack before bed. Yes! I didn't want to eat but I had to just before bedtime so my fasting sugar in the morning is at goal. 

We always have meat at home, chicken, ground pork, beef, eggs, sometimes we have salmon. I even eat Vienna sausage for snack. I was so sick of it. When we go out we go to  a Mediterranean restaurant and order either a falafel or a gyro. In N Out too. My treat would be cauliflower pizza. It's not the same but I had to. I'd have a slice of thin Costco pizza and the inside of a chicken bake. 

Then I'd have cheese with the proteins I eat. I consumed so many lbs of cheese like you wouldn't believe.  When I wasn't pregnant I'd breakout if I had cheese. I never order a cheeseburger. But Gideon has been good to me and he let me have cheese without breaking out. 

What still baffles me is I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant and I've only gained 12 lbs. you'd think I'd gain more because of all the meat I've been eating. I'd cheat with pasta too.  I think portion control during lunchtime at work helped. 

The human body is amazing. And now I have a miracle inside my belly. So far the only thing that stresses me is when I have higher sugar levels. But overall Gideon has been so kind to my body. I hope you don't think it's vain. But with Yohan everything went dark. My neck, underarm, the line in my tummy was dark too. My feet were swollen. I had a bit of stretch mark in my belly and legs too. I had acne. I also had gestational diabetes. I had to take  out my ring at 7 months because I was bloated. With Gideon, everything was light. My skin was clear and lighter, I hardly had pimples. The line in my tummy was lighter, I didn't have stretch marks anywhere. I still have my ring. 

I still have a few weeks to go. The goal is to keep my sugar levels down or at goal. I can't wait to see my baby. It isn't fair that Jeff had a dream about him twice. He said Gideon looks like me and he's very malambing. I love you Gideon. I'm looking forward to hold you in my arms.
