On A Diet: No Rice, What???

Dude, Have you ever met a Filipino who does not eat rice? It's practically in our meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sometimes even in meriendas, like, suman, kakanin, biko, etc... Philippines is one of the top producers of rice around the world. No wonder we eat it every single day.

I have read a study about a mischief of mice who listened to punk rock before trying to complete a maze. They killed each other instead of finishing the maze. Imagine that!

Without rice, I would have gone bonkers like those mice. Rice is my source of energy. I would not be able to function at all without it. I must confess, I tried the no rice meal a long time ago. It harmed me instead. I could not complete the week with the "no rice meal". That by the time I decided to eat some, I devoured almost the entire thing in our rice cooker. I know, very bad.

Rice is a staple food in every Filipino home. So even if you see me eat yogurt for breakfast, I'm still going to have that rice over lunch or dinner. Our family has history of diabetes. Moderation is key. Don't starve yourselves dear. So here's my lunch with pork chop and pork adobo in ginger root. (Adobong dilaw).
